LiveCAIA is a professional work-integrated learning (WIL) studio that connects Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander design and visual arts students with clients, partners, and projects that require First Nations creative content. We are based at the Queensland College of Art & Design, Griffith University (Brisbane City – South Bank campus).

Our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander designers and visual artists range from first-year undergraduate students to alumni, specialising in various mediums including graphic design, painting, sculpture, photography, and more. Projects may also be supported by our non-Indigenous designers in Liveworm, who are actively building their cross-cultural capacity to collaborate effectively with First Nations designers and visual artists.

The studio is supported by a full-time Studio Manager, Creative Director, and Contemporary Australian Indigenous Art (CAIA) academic staff and Indigenous Engagement Officer. A key priority of LiveCAIA is cultural leadership and integrity. We support a thriving community that prioritizes cultural ethics and protocols while navigating creative practice and the commercial design and visual arts sector.
